On Thursday morning, my Great Grandma Gwen passed away, so I went home again to be with my family for the funeral. Praise God that this time someone (who I love very much even though I don't know who it was) gave my family money to help pay for flights for my sister and I so I didn't have to make the 14 hour drive again after being in Minneapolis two days! I'm not sure I could have handled that 5 hour solo through Iowa again...those cornfields are mesmerizing. haha!

As with the memorial service for my friend Tim, my grandma's funeral was mostly joyful and it was a relief that she is finally done fighting death. She was almost 97 years old and had been slowly declining for months, so it was definitely time for her to go. I am so blessed to have known this strong, wise woman and I'm glad I'll see her again in eternity. I have a ton more I could say about her, especially because she led me to Jesus when I was 10 years old, but I don't really have the energy to write it all down now, so her tribute will have to wait.
I stopped by the apartment for a few hours today, but most of the family was at school (yay!) or doctor appointments, so I thought I'd run out quick to a coffee shop to check email and update everything. But with how eventful days have been, I'm sure I'll have more stories to write down by tonight!

Thanks for reading and please pray for deep, renewing rest and rejuvenation so I can keep representing Christ well to this family!!!
Laura! I had no idea that you went home again or that this happened! I'm calling you.
